We’re proud to share that Qualified Listeners was recently featured by FOX31 Denver’s KDVR in their ongoing “Serving Those Who Serve” series — a spotlight that beautifully captures the kind of hands-on, community-powered support we strive to provide every day.
The segment highlighted a bathroom renovation project our team coordinated in Frederick, Colorado, on behalf of a local veteran in need. FOX31 Denver The project came together after the Weld County Veteran’s Services office reached out to us about a veteran named Brad, whose mobility had been severely affected by a stroke that left the right side of his body disabled. At Qualified Listeners, we often say that listening is just the beginning. What Brad needed wasn’t just someone to hear his situation — he needed people to act on it. Volunteers from Qualified Listeners, joined by team members from The Home Depot, rolled up their sleeves to completely renovate Brad’s bathroom FOX31 Denver, transforming a hazardous space into one he could use with safety and dignity. This is exactly the kind of mission-driven collaboration we work to make possible: connecting veterans with the resources and community support they’ve earned.
As an organization, our goal is to improve veterans’ lives by connecting them with the care and services they need ColoradoGives.org — from emergency financial assistance to safety-related home modifications like the one Brad received.
