Qualified Listeners in the News: CBS Colorado Covers Our Vet Connect Event in Loveland

We’re proud to share that Qualified Listeners was recently featured by CBS Colorado in coverage of our Vet Connect event held in Loveland. Seeing our mission reflected in local news is a meaningful reminder of why this work matters — and we’re grateful to CBS Colorado for helping us spread the word.

The Vet Connect event brought the Loveland community together with the goal of supporting veterans and their families. CBS News Our team organized the gathering as a way to bridge the gap between veterans in need and the people and organizations who want to help. At its heart, the event was about creating human connection — making sure that those who have served know they are not navigating their post-service lives alone.

Attendees had the opportunity to be matched with resources and prospective employers — employers who were intentionally selected for their commitment to supporting and hiring veterans. CBS News Our Executive Director Greg Goettsch put it simply: we don’t want any veteran to feel isolated. There is hope, there are people who care, and there are tangible resources available — our role is to make those connections possible.

This event reflects the broader work we do every day at Qualified Listeners. Whether through one-on-one support, community events like Vet Connect, or partnerships with veteran-focused employers, we are committed to making sure that the men and women who served our country have access to the care, community, and opportunities they deserve.
